Most of us were raised believing that it was not clean until it was drenched in bleach. I am sure most of you remember the red fingers you would get from scrubbing the sink and tub with Comet, and maybe even a few of you got a little scared when you mixed the ammonia with bleach… I know I did. That was the old way. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, most households are using some form of \u201cgreen\u201d cleaner. This has become almost mandatory in industry. Don\u2019t get me wrong, as there are still plenty of chemicals used in cleaning, but it is nothing like what we used to see even a decade ago. When \u201cgreen cleaners\u201d first hit the market, many of them were ineffective and very costly. Today, most of them are as effective or more effective than the chemical-based cleaners that have been around for decades and they are finally competitively priced. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Then there is the environmental factor. Even if you are someone that does not believe in protecting the environment, the fact of the matter is that green cleaners can save you significant money. The one thing I find amusing about \u201cclean\u201d is that most of us were raised to associate \u201cclean\u201d with a scent. Meaning, when we smelled bleach, we knew something had just been cleaned. Or remember the smell of Pine-Sol around the home? Clean actually does not have a smell, but that is the way we were trained.
